It is another sign that Anglican church under avcf has collapsed
since 2006 and now the sign of that happening is observed in the
church/cathedral building of ASC whose walls are cracking. Lets give
everything to God for BISHOPGATE must be resolved sooner.All Saints’ Cathedral building is falling to pieces???
Do we expect this belated Easter
message 2014 for Anglican Diocese of Sabah and such a grave one indeed?
Why is the ASC building in such a
bad stage?
At Easter we could see all the
metal scaffolding on both sides of the building right up to the roof. At brief glance, I though to myself it is for
repainting of the walls. So I walked
around the building and then I meet a senior active member who told me that the
roof is in very bad shape and could also collapse if there is a heavy rain and
the walls are also cracking up. He told
me that it could be the sea sand used in those days to build the Cathedral.
I could agree with him at that
point but I also told him that this is very old building which could not stand
the weight of the additional large and heavy porch plus the pavilion added on
since Albert Vun came to ASC. Such
unbalanced recent development could disturb the soil/ground of the original
building.
I also told him that Albert Vun
had spent a lot of money renovating the Cathedral building since he came in
2005/2006, and now after a few years similar repairs are now needed.
I may not be right to make that statement.
Nevertheless, I would like to see
a committee capable to do a proper review of the Cathedral building since
2005/6 to be set up as to the real situation affecting the Cathedral now with
cracks and how bad are such cracks. I
also think the Cathedral building had been standing since 1962 fairly well
prior to the additional heavy porch and the pavilion.
It is indeed very disappointing
if the Cathedral building is cracking and that the roof is likely to cave in
and certainly the bigger picture of the state of condition/repair of Cathedral
building is urgent.
If indeed the Cathedral building
is collapsing sooner or later, it would bring us back to reflect on the greed
of Albert Vun who had already destroyed the other various aspects and values such
as the biblical, emotional, moral, spiritual, sentimental and traditional
stances.
There were some fruit trees
bearing fruits at the back of the Cathedral prior to his arrival but now
replaced by some fruitless trees indicating sort of the lack of the Fruit of
the Spirit or sadly the departure of the Fruit of Spirit in the leadership.
It has been a tradition that the
Bishop has been delivering the Easter message at the ASC Sunday service at
7.30am service without fail. This holy
Easter, the dean was preaching and the Bishop was no way to be seen. I think he has been missing for a few Easter
7.30am services already. What would be
the Bishop doing at this time if not preaching in ASC? This is just another reason of the unfit
Bishop hence I did address him with his name in the early part of this
message.
Without the Fruit of the Spirit,
and absconding himself from the Easter’s 7.30am service should Albert deserve
to remain the bishop?
