The Bishop’s
Commissary 28th
Appril, 2013
Rev Herbert Tong,
Wisma Anglican,
Kota Kinabalu.
Dear Rev Herbert
Tong,
Re: Affairs of the ADOS while Bishop of Sabah on forced Sabbatical leave.
The Anglican
churches in Sabah had been told that while
Bishop Albert Vun is in Sabbatical leave of 6 months, the Bishop’s Commissary
would act in his place and there is also a Facilitator or Mediator trying to
resolve what I call BISHOPGATE (indisputable) in Anglican Diocese of Sabah.
It is also a
surprise that the Archbishop of the Anglican
Province of churches in South East Asia did not issue any pastoral letter on the appointments
of your goodself and Bishop Moses Tay.
Now it is coming to
the end of the third month of duty of this special purpose for your goodself
and that of Bishop M Tay, and the church would like to hear of any report on
the status of the BISHOPGATE.
So in this short
letter, I would like to hear from you the following:-
- The Dean and some intercessors have asked All Saints Cathedral’s Congregation to forget the past. Is this your instruction or that of the Facilitator? Please confirm.
- You had been quoted in some postings in the blog that you had made some disparaging remarks of the church members in All Saints Cathedral as troublemakers and that Bishop A Vun did not take a single cent. (copy of that conversation at a Chinese New House visit is attached).
- It was declared on 15th October, 2012 in All Saints; Cathedral by Bishop A Vun that he and pastor Philip Lo had transferred RM85,000 of ADOS money to Thailand for Visa purpose and that the said money held in a bank deposit in Thailand would be returned to ADOS in December, 2012. Please confirm if the money is now returned to ADOS.
I would suggest
that ADOS and ASC would call an EGM or a members dialogue to further discuss
the BISHOPGATE to resolve it once and for all rather than hearing sort of ‘strange’
of messages or instructions from the pulpit or the intercessors at the prayers
sessions which do not allow the congregation to respond accordingly. Really this is still practice in the polluted
land and not yet in the promised land. Even many public organizations have OPEN days
for fellowships and dialogues. So I
would say it is good governance in any church especially with thousand of
members to find comfort amongst us as caring families especially from the
clergies and pastors.
.
I trust my simple
requests would meet with your approval.
Thank you,
God bless,
In the love of
Christ,

Please ask ‘listen’.He posted his remarks about HT on Feb 19 2013 at 10.57am in Blog Bishop AV goes international.
March 1, 2013 – 8:05 am Liaten.
For the information of all Anglicans & part of context of conversation as follows,
a/.HT said, 7.30 am English Parishioners were trouble makers & very judgemental.
b/.HT said, BAV didn’t not take a single cent from ASC & ADOS.
( HT, where did the cash money came from on the Sulaiman Mansion cash purchased ?
were those money came from all the love gifts engagements overseas & in particular
from the rich Indoinesian lady ? ).
c/.HT said, Priests don’t have to be poor & why questioned the 2nd. Condo purchased ?
( Were BAV not abusing & plundering God’s money for 2nd. Condo purchased done
registered under his personal name without seeking Standing Comm. approval ).
d/.HT said, attendance throughout ADOS is growing & ASC 7,30′s congregation was only a very
portion of the Diocese.
( HT, were all these figures on attandance been grossly inflated to shows growth &
were the Celrgy not cheating God ? ).
The above was said by HT during the 3rd. day of a CNY gathering of over 50 family members & HT was
wearing a grey long sleve shirt. A group photo was taken & HT was standing on 2nd.last roll on the right.
To all my friends at ASC, I leave it to you to assess whether HT has been too bias & impartial . Does he
still has the moral & creditability to preach in our pulpits ?
An email from a
member at the polling/counting centre
Dear
Joshua,
For
your information my good friend MKXXX have confronted HT regarding the
subject mentioned by you during the AGM election around the registration
tables. I was there. HT asks who told
my friend. Of course we knew who told us but without permission of that
person my friend will not be able to answer HT. Unless you speak to that person
and provided that person is willing to testify. I don't this is of any
important. HT is insignificant. He is an outsider and only temporary,
better for you to concentrated on AV.
