Dear Bishop and Standing Committee of ADOS,
I don’t know why the issues raised in
allsaintscathedralsabah. blogspot.com
since 12 September, 2012 have not being addressed.
The accounts of ADOS are totally unacceptable and ADOS would have the money to engaged good account staff.
I have my own issues at the end of this mail and 3 at the moment is enough.
So all together is 17 sweet questions and just quote the number when you reply in writing.
Thank you,
Joshua

INSIGHTS OF ADOS FINANCIAL REPORT:
Ezekiel 3:18
When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do
not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to
save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you
accountable for their blood.
Any
financial person will ask some of these questions in the Synod if they are
given time to read the accounts:
a) What is the definition of fixed assets in
accounting? Why was the Bangkok condominium
treated as off balance sheet item? Why was it never a fixed asset? Who suggested it as revenue expenditure
(charged out as expenses) instead of capital expenditure (fixed assets)?
1-JK’s Question
---who has given the instruction ? Who
did the bookkeeping entry?
b) How did the KK land sales of RM236,500 become receivables? What is this? Land sales from Likas land not fully collected? ADOS only sold 2 parcels of KK land. The Likas Land and the road access to the freemason. This amount owing from which buyer?
2-JK’s Question:
When did this figure first occur and for what?
c) Why is the Kokol Project Account supposedly monitored by Michael Tong (the treasurer for the project) cost only RM5.1mil but the costs booked in ADOS accounts shows RM6mil? ADOS account shows Kokol cost RM836,000 more than the project account under the project treasurer Michael Tong. How and why? This can only suggests some unknown expenses were booked in as costs to this project in ADOS account. The Kokol building was completed and dedicated end of August 2010. Why was there still an addition of RM538,967 costs in 2011? How could two different figures presented to the Synod? How could the accounts be approved and accepted?
3-JK’s Question
– Show us the complete project account and documents.
d) Where has the rental income gone? ADOS has been receiving rental like from Wisma Anglican, staff apartment and various premises. Why were these not reported in the accounts?
4-JK’s Question: -Please give us a complete list of
properties rented out and the respective rent.
e) There was RM38.8mil of bank balances from the close of 2009 financial. After having spent RM18.1mil for both 2010 and 2011 and received income RM7.4 of income for the 2 years, there should only have left with RM28.1mil. This is simple mathematics. Why there is still RM34.5mil? How have overnight miracles happened that RM6.4mil just appeared into the bank from nowhere?
5-JK’s Question:- Please show us the Diocesan
assessment schedule due and payable and paid by those churches concerned in
these two years.
f) Movement of specific fund was all done with wrong accounting. Why funds utilised (spent) is also funds transferred into this account? This is not right. There was RM41mil in the special fund at the close of 2009 financial. RM3.7mil for 2009 & 2010 from the assessment has been allocated into this fund, a total of RM44.7mil. RM18.1mil have been utilised. There should only be RM26.6mil. Why is there still RM37mil? This is very strange.
6-JK’s
Question – Please show us the relevant ledger of these fund for 2010, 2011.
g) Development fund & Kokol were over charged by RM96,728 and RM34,912 in the specific fund. How could RM131,640 overspent from this account? How will these discrepancies be accounted for?
7-JK’s Question -
Please show us the relevant ledgers with these items.
h) What was the reason for no budget was presented during the 2010 Synod? Is it right that the Chairman had violated the Constitution of the Diocesan and manipulated the Synod? Without the budget from the previous Synod, more than RM6.4 worth of properties had been purchased between last Synod and this. Was it not Bishop Vun initiated to purchase the Tenom shop lots, Sipitang and Menggatal land worth more than RM2mil? (We all know these RM2mil deals were all with contentious issues). Then, why were these selectively not taken up as fixed assets of ADOS but the Sulaiman and Lahad Datu were booked as assets in ADOS account ? Who decided the purchase of Sulaiman and the Lahad Datu shoplots worth more than RM4.1mil?
8-Jk’s Question – We need to examine copies of titles of all land and landed properties. The three pieces of properties Tenom,
Sipitang and Menggatal maybe included in the list of assets 2006-2012 in page 56 but we need to have a
schedule of assets as at 2010 and 2011 to be reconciled to the Balance sheet of
the two years. Show us Synod 2009’s
minute or the Standing Committee on the purchase of landed assets.
i) RM6.3mil was spent for purchase of land and church planting and RM3.4mil as mission and outreach fun. A total of RM9.7mil from the sales of Likas Land has been spent over the past 2-3years. There should only be RM21.3mil remaining not utilised. How long will this last if the same pattern of spending is practiced for the next 5 years? Have we achieved our purpose from the intention of the Synod to approve the sales of this land?
9-JK’s Question
- When was the sale of likas land
actually approved by Synod and the purpose of that sale? Why was the Likas land not retained for the
expansion development of ADOS?
The Diocesan Academies Board (Hearing it 1st time)
j)
When was this
Board formed? The All Saints Anglican Academy started immediately Bishop Vun
was made the Bishop. Why only now in
Synod 2012 then the Diocesan Board was formed?
Who decided on the members of the Board?
There are 8 members on the Board 7 members are directly under the
payroll of the Diocesan Bishop. The
members are Stella Lo (Bishop’s representative), Bishop John Yeo, Canon Yong
Thiam Choy, Datin Mary Vun(Chairman), Rev Tan Chor Kee, Lily Tan ( Rev
Tan’s wife) Mdm Chung Shuk Yong. The
other person is none other than the Diocesan treasurer. How can the Board make objective decisions
when they are all interested parties?
10-JK’s
Question – Are the Diocesan Academies the family business of the Bishop all
subsidized/funded by church money?
All Saints Anglican Academy (ASAA, the school)
k) Why all the academy accounts not included as part of ADOS accounts yet funds were transferred out from ADOS’s mission funds expenses to finance the school activities. Why is this account so preferential that need not to be audited? Who owns the school? Does it belong to Mary Vun ( the chairwoman) or the Diocese?
11-JK’s
Question - Isn’t this action of
transferring ASAA out of ASC to ADOS subject to Criminal Breach of Trust?
l) Salaries for ASAA has increased close to RM90,000 between 2010 & 2011. If every staff (including Mary Vun) get one month bonus, there is still an unexplained RM45,000. Was this paid to Mary Vun for being consultants to the China failed mission?
12-JK’s
Question - We want to see the salary card
of ASAA and Form E to the Inland Revenue Department.
m) Guess who are the signatories to the cheques of the ASAA? Is it not Mary Vun? Together with her, there is a young priest who is also under the payroll of Mary Vun’s husband (the bishop). Interestingly, this account was not included in ADOS financial. If it is not part of ADOS, why is ADOS so obligated to transfer funds out to aid ASAA, Sunway and Beijing? Do you think this is right? Being an interested party to the Bishop, she received the money from her husband. Why was the formation of the Academy Board only done in 2012 before the Synod? Has it been discussed and approved by the standing committee?
13-JK’s
Question – Does ASAA have a trading licence?
n) The school (ASAA) venture into China with the Koreans. Is that all we have invested RM80,000 as reported by the Board secretary?
Inconsistencies: Auditor’s finding was
RM650,000 and another RM600,000 without records. We want the truth to be unfolded.
14-JK’s
Question – What is the present status of this proposed venture? Is it one or off?
Additional
Questions by Joshua Kong for Bishop A Vun and his standing committee as they
need to give valid explanation in writing
while Bishop remains in office against protests.
JK- Q15. We are not only interested to know more about two
years 2010 and 2011 but also years 2006-2009.
So when can get certified true copies of those years?
JK-Q16. It is now known that ADOS land had been planted with
oil palm and substantial revenue has been estimated for a few years and have
these income being included in ADOS accounts? If so, please give details.
17.It is now alleged that at least a BM priest and BM
pastor have died prematurely since 2006. The Rev Rais died in Tuaran after a by pass
operation after preaching in church.
Bishop did not allow him to go for full rest of three months after the
heart surgery and instead gave him 3 days leave only.
17a-Question: What
did the Bishop do after the death of the BM priest? Should the Bishop now agree to have an Inquiry
on his premature death to clear his blame for the death? This is very important as more than one
deaths and at least 13 sudden resignation of senior priests since 2005/2006.
I have many more questions and leave them to another
forum and I hope I can have the answers in writing as the forum on Monday would
not have the time to deal with them satisfactory.
Thank you,
Joshua Y. C. Kong
012-8380897; 013-8394513.
It is really too little and too late.
AVCF is playing the game to catch the members flat footed,
and unprepared.
1.What is the full Agenda?
2.Who is the Chairman/
If AV is the Chairman, he will dominate the floor with LIES and plenty
of talk and two hours is soon over without answering the questions.
3.We want to see the amended accounts with at least days
notice. Don’t expect the members to ask good accounting questions within one
hour.
4.We want to hear from the.honorary Auditor.
5. If AV and Michael Tong want to give answers, we want the
written answers posted in a website within 24 hours, then we can have a second
or third rounds if necessary.
- Since Philip Chhoa volunteer to ask written questions, I will give him all the questions apart from what had been reported in the three blogs namely allsaintscathedralsabah.blogspot.com; thetruthasc.wordpress.com and bishopgateinanglicansabah.blogspot.com (my own blogs).
- There are enough questions in the three blogs and why M Tong does not answer them also in a blog set up for such purpose so that we can raise all the points there?
- We need to see a re-audited accounts and fresh audit report/audit management letter on the amended accounts before such a forum.
- What is the implication of a re-convened Synod of fresh delegates elected by members as far as account or newly prepared one is concerned.
- Would all those who want to ask questions be given the chance? If this is the case, I don’t think the hours would be enough.
More to come…
I prefer we go ahead with the petition and let AVCF and M
Tong answer all the points of accounts of ADOS in court hearing soon
We need to meet soon to set up our strategy in a Court
case..

Quote: Prophet R - "If you speak at the meeting I recommend every one of you demand AV’s immediate resignation,no more deal. " and "Just one of us can put a thousand to flight, and two of us can send the legions fleeing. Just one of us can put a thousand to flight and two of us can rout, evil principalities."
What Prophet R wrote is indeed very prophetic and I want to encourage any one or every one to stand up to call for his immediate resignation first as acting Dean (long overdue) and then Bishop without fail. Or he prefer tougher punishment than just resignation.
As he resigns he has to make restitution of money disappeared from ADOS and other appropriate restorations measures - some of which as in the HOBs' pastoral letter dated 18 September, 2012. AVCF knows what to do unless he is really the madman beyond redemption.
One person taking up the Civil Court case had been very effective (don't be disappointed with things outside our control) so far and together with another person (so two) would be devastation for AVCF.
Pray for the Court Hearing on Pre-Trial Case Management before Judge Justice Datuk David Wong Dak Wah tomorrow 15th Oct., 2012 at 9am possibly in the OPEN Court.
Friends going to the Forum,
ReplyDeleteplease print this out and insist Bishop and others in Standcom answer the questions and issues raised.
Thank you,
Ps : Already sent by email.
Please also ask for sight of latest bank statements for the current accounts and fixed deposits.
ReplyDeleteBetter ask M Tong for the latest balances as post balance sheet events.
many more issues and questions..
Already email and fax to AVun and M Tong for them to have time to be better prepared within 24 hours like Ronny did for the Affidavit..
ReplyDeleteSo would there be more crocodile tears tonight or disappearing act or missing in action?
ReplyDeleteMy three pages of Q & A in some 17 Qs must be answered in full in writing within 24 hours.
AVCF cannot speak, rave and rant too much tonight as he usually does and block others because
all Qs are too difficult and embarrassing to answer to expose himself to the ‘crimes’.
he Rev Rais should be Rev Dais...

ReplyDeleteMy comments --
1. BAV admitted to under declaring the Tenom shoplot by RM50,000 because the former owner wanted to give RM50,000 to charity.
JK- another bigger LIE to cover the fraud, not RM50,000 only but another amount of some RM50,000. See William Thien's letter again. Confirm "onemanshow' in TPW. SC or S Foo did not know and did those who sign the cheques know?.
2. Stephen Foo pleads he has no knowledge of the transaction and he didn’t handle the transaction. (An indirect admission the transaction was handled by a non-believing lawyer as alleged?)
JK - So what does S Foo knows? Why not? Again confirm AVCF is in sole control.
3. Rev. Philip Lo admitted he and BAV took RM85,000 for visa application without prior consent from Standing Committee.
JK - what does this mean? Thief or theft?
4. Bishop Albert Vun, Bishop Melter and Bishop John Yeo lied to the entire congregation tonight when they denied naming the five complainants and calling them traitors at the BM congress at Telupid. All clergy attended the Congress and heard BAV calling the complainants “traitors”. When BAV and Bishop Melter denied that tonight, they lied before God, in the house of God, before all the clergy (almost all were at the Congress) and to the entire body. While Bishop John Yeo stayed quiet, his silence is construed as consent when he could have stood forward and tell the truth.
JK- similar naming/insulting the 5 in the ASC bulletin or Pastoral letters are bad enough when the Province Constitution allows people not necessary members to lodge complaint against the Archbishop and others.
5. Mary Vun said she was happy to resign from the academies, and turned to challenge if anyone in the congregation would like to take over the Academies from her. She said this when someone pointed out it was conflict of interests to be the Director of Academies when her husband, also the Bishop decides her salary. A member pointed out to Mary Vun that nobody is indispensable and that if Mary resigned, God can raise up another leader to take over.
JK - Mary Vun, do it now and refund all the excessive payments to her.
6. ASC was packed. Estimated attendance 350-400.
JK- a very good show but still nowhere to remove AVCF and the standcom and the cronies.
7. Provincial Chancellor, Andrew Khoo, was in attendance for a first hand encounter and to report the dialogue directly to the Archbishop. He was seen taking notes and doing audio recording.
JK- who chaired the meeting? How long did AVCF speak?
8. BAV and stand comm still cannot refute the management letter. Michael Tong was accused of cooking the books by Philip Chhoa when Michael failed to give simple and straight answers to Philip. MT claimed he didn’t know how many bank accounts DOS has, when asked about the missing FD interests that could amount over RM1 million per year.
JK - so it is likely the bank accounts are near empty. very SAD.
9. BAV denied he only gave the late Rev. Dais 3 days leave after Dais’ second open heart surgery. BAV claimed he wasn’t the Bishop when Rev. Dais passed away just weeks after the 2nd surgery. Bishop Melter concurred by stating Rev. Dais passed away in 2007. (FYI, BAV was enthroned the Bishop of ADOS in 2006.)
JK - call an Inquiry now and someone lodge Police Report on the 'murder' of the more than one persons including priests and pastors under AVCF.
10. Bishop John Yeo was surprisingly quiet. Not said a word at the meeting.
JK- guilty beyond doubt.
11. It is no longer 5 people complaining. The congregation booed Standing Committee and BAV when they gave evasive answers, and cheered the laity who spoke and raised questions.
JK- so what is next to restore ADOS, still my Court case is the last resort.
12. Julienne Sim, who operates ASC cafeteria, called BAV’s critics “barking dogs”. An elderly lady from ASC replied, in 50 years she worshipped at ASC she had never been called a barking dog until tonight.
JK- without the brave souls in ASC and other churches, we are all FINISHED.
After this latest dialogue which is nothing but a show to coincide with the day My Court case is heard.
ReplyDeleteThere was the expectation that the High Court would strike out the Writ of mine, but not to be .
So there was nothing for AVCF to announce as he wrote “the Court ruled to his favour” on 24th September, 2012 when the Court Order/ Anton Piller Order would lapse automatically in 21 days…
on 15th October, 2012, the chance of my case going forward is very good for a full trial..
In St Patrick's Church and elsewhere, land issues should dominate the Dialgue sessions with AVCF..
ReplyDeleteWere all the land - big and small donated by the public properly accounted for since 1990? AVCF was rector of SPC from 1990- 2005/6.
What about the Palm oil business in ADOS? What happened to the revenue, if any since 2006?
My Tawau and Sandakan friends, please speak up.
Nobody knows how this name "All Saints' Anglican Academy " excpet myself and Rev Tan Chor Kee when he was still serving in ASC.
ReplyDeleteIt was announced in the ASC Sunday bulletin that the academy be known as All Saints' Academy" and then I pointed it out to the REv Tan that without "Anglican" in the name is meaningless.
So the next Sunday, it was accepted the name I suggested.
BAV and MV are both dumb here.
Wasting people time for his greedy agenda but failed this time for avcf----
ReplyDeletethis just coincide with the sudden Court appearance on 15th October, 2012 which is also unexpected.
AVCF thought the Court would “rule for him” as well again as it was the last time on 24th September, 2012.
Look at how he wrote an email on 25th Sept to the clergies and pastors saying ” the court ruled to his favour” when it was automatic lapse of court order / anton piller in 21 days.
The Court did not rule for him and on 15th October, the Court ruled for forward to hear the applications towards full trial although the Defendants has applied to set aside my Writ.
So he was LOST to claim any victory at the 7.30pm dialogue and a greater disappointment for him and his cronies as his own lawyer Ronny dare not come before the new Judge.
So what happened in Sandakan and Tawau and hope they bring up this Court case to harass avcf.

Before your clouded glasses over whelm you, DONt jump the gun into judgement.
It appears to be proven that there s a lack of transparency, governance, etc. over the use
of funds.
By jumping the gun to CBT, you may be courting slander.
In the same note that you accuse BAV of being abusive, you are using language likementally unstable, tpw, etc. Whats the difference?
Oh…..and stop blowing your own proverbial trumpet.
If you need to, blow God’s trumpet. :)

Before your clouded glasses over whelm you, DONt jump the gun into judgement.
Sam, you are not the prophet, and there is a ProphetR who is truly a prophet and ProphetR calls AVCF the MADMAN, check it our in another title.
Sam, you have missed out too many things in your postings so far.
Since I came on the know of the asc blog, it is very convincing of CBT and don’t dilute it to please the Satan.
If AVCF is a man of God and want to come clean, please show us all the records if no wrongdoings had been committed. The more I had researched into the affairs of ADOS, the more I found and looks like a bottomless pits of everything smelly and fishy. Sue me now.
http://www.anglicansabah.org/2010.1/main.htm
Why my clean name is still there to defame me and bring the church against me when it is the Bishop of Sabah and Datuk AV as defendants? Nothing to do with the church and the Diocese of Sabah.
How childish can the MADMAN of ADOS be?
ReplyDeleteHis cronies also now madman in a hurry...
Why?
After hearing all what M Tong says it is so childish when it is not ready to give in writing. All those talks are just talks, worst than children and God forbids.
So all should have their mental status checked immediately.
His motive was just to tell the world that the Court rule to his favour!!!! so all fall into his trap.
What I am writing here is that the expression by some learned professional..
Stephen Foo as the Diocesan Chancellor is not part of the Standing Committee and he should not be siting on the front table but with the congregation... So you can see how stupid some people can be...He should be the independent person in ADOS working for the Bishop and the members.
The Tenom case is definitely a CBT implication in whatever ways we look at it.
ReplyDeleteMany more questions would be raised based on the documents available..
So who want to do more investigative work?
The answers provided by DC is fooling around...at the Dialogue on 15th October.

October 18, 2012 - 8:54 pm Anglican brother @ Singapore
My mum spoke to me tonight on Sandakan meeting: This is just a rough memory from her.
All questions must be answered by Bishop alone as demanded by congregration, not SC. Stephen Foo chaired the meeting, not Moses Chin.
1. Why Fixed Deposit interest missing in the report?
2. Some other accounts questionable raised.
3. Thailand condos, AV said it is apartments, not condos he bought, then why buy 2 units to house missionaries to Thailand?
4. Land donated to church for Margaret Chong ministry usage, sold to a person to build a Buddhist temple. AV said he don’t know abt this transaction.
5. Rev Dais leave MC case. One person mentioned Ps Sonia might be threatened to not tell the truth abt her husband.
6. Rev Chai Lip Vui – why he got transferred to Singapore from Cambodia? He devote much effort, but he resigned? and went to China.
7. The accident case involved a little girl years ago, why he didn’t he visit her after the accident? He claimed he gave her money but no visitation done. AV was rebuked for lack of love.
8. Question about his trips to overseas, people demand detailed reports from him. They pay 1/3 of expenses to go. He select his own entourage.
9. Renovation on Bishop Lodge. He said RM600k used, the guy told him too expensive, at most RM300k for a big house. He asked for a detailed breakdown of cost from him.
What has the petition got to do with going of AVCF and gang?
ReplyDeleteI heard AVCF is asking his cronies priests to get 20k signature to support him.
How many signatures have you got right now?
So when the HoBs got both signature campaigns with the majority on AVCF side, what do you think Archbishop would do?
So it is back to square 1, in the internal conflict with devastation to the church a large.
What is the results of three dialogues or forums?
Even without the petition campaign, the HoBs had given AVCF a show cause letter to comply, and failing which we have seen no compliance at all and instead another challenge to the Decision as in SPC, the immediate measure is to removal of the BIshop of Sabah by Archbishop of Province for churches in South East Asia. - PERIOD.
