It is good to have a fast and pray for
ADOS and hope many would join in as we all want to enter the promised land in Sabah as soon as possible without some people.
The day is good as it is a public
holiday.
On the venue at STS, there may have problem of communication
especially if many people join in the evening service at STS. Would we expect a few hundreds of desperate
parishioners want to see a quick change?
In that context AS Cathedral ground
would be most suitable especially in the raining season. Do we want to park our cars on the hill roads
and walk up in the rain? Some may want
to go there by public transport.
Also is Sabah Theology Seminary (STS) really a neutral
ground? Considering AVCF is so good to
find excuse to truncate from STS to save the annual subscription of RM6,000 and
also use the excuse to expand ADOS own training school for priests, and hope
AVCF would not do it in these few months.
Also AVCF even tried to truncate from the Province
of Anglican Church in South East Asia with whatever excuse only known to him.
So why not have it in ASC and also a
test to AVCF if he would reject own members?
Nevertheless, the event is as follows:- thetruthasc.wordpress.com

URGENT: Fast and Pray
Acting on the suggestion of
Bishop Ng Moon Hing, the delegates are calling for a prayer meeting on Nov
15 (Thursday), 8pm at Sabah Theological
Seminar’s (STS) chapel. The delegates also set this Thursday to be a
day of fasting & praying.
The idea is that people fast
from after breakfast Thursday on through the day but drinking
water as necessary. People are asked to pray throughout the day in their own
way but to gather together in the evening for corporate prayer. This gathering will last for about two hours to
include devotions, some praise and worship or hymns and of course prayer. People can break their fast either with breakfast
on Friday or after the prayer meeting.
We believe that nothing is
impossible to God and that He may well have ways of dealing with this crisis
that we simply have not thought of. So we want to pray for His intervention to
resolve this crisis and bring new life to ADOS.
This prayer meeting will be a
special opportunity to draw close to God, to earnestly entreat Him and for like
minded Christians who want to see the ADOS crisis resolved God’s way to
fellowship together. This will be a prayer meeting NOT a political
platform.
On the same note, this blog
will implement a one-week extended online fast. Certain
activities will be curbed between now and next Tuesday, Nov 13:
- no blog postings for one week (unless there is an urgent news)
- no comments posting for one week
